I have owned the Horseshoe Tavern since 1991 and have tried to maintain its unique neighborhood atmosphere that is so rare to find nowadays, especially in the Marina. I slowly had to make some changes, which at first I was resistant to, such as putting in a credit card machine. One thing I had always been hesitant about was advertising. I was strictly a word-of-mouth guy and was convinced that no amount of advertising could make my bar any busier. Wrong!
