An
inherent love of art and fashion motivated Betsy Barron to study
at the Rhode Island School of Design where her artistic vision developed.
In a setting where jewelry was regarded as an art form, Betsy found
her medium. Influenced greatly by her environment she incorporates
found objects from a twig or seed observed on a walk to an old button
found in a corner of her grandmother’s dresser drawer.
Conscious yet indifferent of trends, Betsy’s work has an integrity
that reflects her artistic commitment. Her choice of quality
materials, as well as her exacting production process, enables a
purity of expression and simplicity of form which has a beauty that
endures. Her goal is to create jewelry that will last forever.
